In this article A natural gas company is trying to build a new pipeline that would move natural gas from WV to VA. The people there that would be effected by this pipeline are holding rallies and started a petition to try and stop the pipeline from being built. They say they don't want this pipeline to be built because of the environmental impact it will have, it will cause people to lose jobs, and some communities will have to be moved in order for this pipeline to be built.

Natural Gas Cars
In the article that Fox Business did on natural gas cars they talked about the pros and cons of them. The pros out weigh the cons. Some of the pros they talked about in the article are you are not putting greenhouse gasses into the air, less of a carbon footprint, gas is a lot cheaper and those are just a few they list. Some of the cons they also list in the article include the up front cost of a natural gas vehicles are more, you can't drive as far, there are fewer stations that have natural gas for you to fill your vehicles up at.

Natural gas is already being used as ways to replace things we already use on a daily basis. Lets take oil that is taken from the ground and then turned into gas that we use to fuel our cars on. They are making cars that run on natural gas . They take an engine and modify it so that all it needs to run is natural gas that could be in a gas form or in a liquid form like we use now to fuel our cars. But there is company in Silicon Valley, California who is now trying to take natural gas and transform it into a liquid gas that would work with a cars engine that runs on gas made from oil. That would mean you get the same sort of power you get now from a gas car but you would be leaving a smaller carbon footprint that you get from a natural gas car. What Mr. Scher is trying to do is he is taking Methane and runs it through a system of pipes and adds it to a catalyst which of all things is made from a virus that has be modified. When the two are mixed there is no energy need from anywhere to convert Methane into Ethylene with this catalyst because it doesn't consume any energy. Ethylene is used in many petrochemicals, which than can be converted into things like gasoline, diesel or jet fuel through this process that has be created. With gas set to climb back up again this process could and will help to keep gas prices low. It only costs about fifteen dollars to make a barrel of this stuff and when crude oil is eight times that price people will begin to look into this process even more.
This claim in the article is that natural gas is moldable and can be used to power things that we use today. This is being done by changing it from one thing to another and giving us the same thing but with less backlash than we get now. They are including how they are going to make gas at a cheaper cost than what gas made from oil and how they are planning on doing this because so far from what they have been able to come up with it is working and they are able to make gas from natural gas and it is cleaner than gas made from oil. This claim is that natural gas can replace other fuels out there that we use all we have to do is think about how we could use it differently and this is what is being done and so far it is working.
